Im looking for a really good camcorder, who people have use in small professional businesses. I am starting a short movie, and I want to make it as professional as it can be. I have rarely any experience through filming, but I do know the basics. Also, Im looking for a camcorder, that is lower than $400, and able to carry around with him. Oh what are those mics above called? Thanks
I am looking for a HD Video Camcorder from a price range of 3500-4500. Name brand is not an issue. Looking to do small movies. Can anyone recommend one that is professional and really good?
Going to college soon and be majoring in film so I need a camcorder. Have a 1000 to spend but only 150-200 for video editor the rest for a camera.
I need a camera that shoots great quality film close to what professionals use.

I bought a professional camera: Panasonic ag-dvx100B and when i turn it on vcr mode with a firewire cable (4-pin to 6-pin) iMovie doesnt recognise it. Im looking for a specific software that enables video capturing.
Thanks for the Help!
I’m looking for a relatively good and professional camcorder that is with in around the $1500 price range. It needs to have an audio in and, like I said good professional quality. I’ve been looking at the Sony HVR-HD1000U but people have been saying that’s it’s not that much better than a consumer camcorder; it’s just in a professional body. It does however have some good features (like the manual adjustment ring) and I don’t really need anything really pro. I am an amateur film maker looking for a nice camera that shoots good quality footage. Is the Sony HVR a good camera for me?
I am a university student interested in making a short documentary film based on a research project. I will be doing close up shooting, a mix of indoor/outdoor, and some interviews.
I am completely new to the field, and I am wondering what kind of camcorder I could get for under 1000 dollars? Should I opt for a higher end non-professional camcorder or get a low-end professional camcorder? I would love to get something easily portable since I will be going abroad in about 6 months, but at the same time I don’t want to sacrifice quality. Would it be better to buy new or get something used off of ebay?
Thanks, I would love any suggestions or ideas!
I’m currently on the look out for a Professional camcorder (Not Hand-held!).. It needs to record high quality footage and such..
Can anyone recommend a website or a specific camera for me that is of a good price?
Thankyou.
