“$300 camcorder” & “professional results” have no right being in the same question. You get what you pay for & $300 does not buy you professional quality. Sorry. A good camcoder is the Canon ZR800 or ZR850. Far from professional but pretty good for the price. Check out camcorderinfo.com to see all the lastest cameras put through the test.
Im an amateur videographer, and a few friends of mine and i want to start a video blog. What are the most popular options when you have multiple people that are the focus of the video and need to use multiple mics? I just HATE how camcorder mics make voices sound, but then i guess you cant expect miracles from a multidirectional mic like that.

My camcorder has a built-in microphone, so location sound is mediocre at best. My camera does NOT have a microphone input, so I can’t hook a professional microphone to it. Is there another solution in getting professional audio??

I currently have a mini dv camcorder. Though the final product usually looks cheap and you can tell it was made with a cheap camera. How can I make the film look more professional. Should I buy an HD camera or does this have to do with the editing process? Should I render the film differently or something?

I want to produce video footage that can be professionally broadcast on television, but I don’t have the $3,000 to spend. Are there any consumer camcorders (Handycams) that would produce the same quality? I have up to $1,400 to spend. I would prefer MiniDV or HDV.
