I need to create a short promotional video, its going to essentially be an interview at a desk/office setting. I need some tips on making the video look as professional as possible. To start, I’ll be using a handheld HD camcorder mounted on a tripod. I’m just looking for any tips or suggestions on everything from lighting, to staging, to editing. Thank you!
Ok well im not a professional in film making. What i want this camera for is to record some friend and family stuff. I will also be using this to film some workout sessions and some spar sessions. So as you can see nothing fancy. Any suggestions??? it would be great if you can tell me of some camcorders that is small and easy to use.
I am planning to buy a camcorder with a limitt of not more than £200. I don’t know what cam is good, don’t care if it is branded or not as long as it has a better quality. I’ve seen few camcorder on ebay which is quite cheap (below £100). I don’t need an expensive one cause it’s only for personal use not for a professional. Any suggestion, would be great! Thanks!

Hi I’m starting an event videography business. Ideally I would like to have three camcorders for different angles. I plan on using a Canon XH A1 as my primary camcorder and using two Canon Hv20’s as my secondary and third camcorders. I know that the HV20 has one ccd and the XH A1 has three ccd’s. Do you think splicing footage between these different camcorders would be problematic or should the quality of the image blend fairly well? At the most I could purchase two Canon XH A1 camcorders, leaving me with only a two angle setup. My other option is to purchase one Canon XH A1 as a primary and two Canon HV20’s as a secondary/third, and thus having a three camcorder setup. What are your opinions/advice on these options? Other feasible options/alternatives?
Thanks
I want to produce video footage that can be professionally broadcast on television, but I don’t have the $3,000 to spend. Are there any consumer camcorders (Handycams) that would produce the same quality? I have up to $1,400 to spend. I would prefer MiniDV or HDV.
