What Is A Good Professional Camcorder?
One that has:
Lenses larger than 43mm.
Imaging chips 1/3″ or larger.
XLR audio inputs.
Once you meet these, the other stuff like easy to get to manual controls (zoom, focus, white balance, audio gain control, aperture among others) is generally part of the package.
Entry level professional grade includes the Sony HVR-V1U and Canon XHA1… then the Sony HVR-Z1U, Canon XLH series, Panasonic AG-HDX series… then the upper end of the Sony HVR series, JVC GY series… and they go up from here.
